During Spring 2020 LOC put on a series of training sessions with a coach, planned and organised by Carol McNeill, almost every Saturday morning from now until April. This series is a chance to be introduced to new techniques and practice those which have become rusty which will contribute to improving your results and enjoying.
It covers Urban, Terrain and Relay styles using specially prepared training maps.
There are also 2 'Come and Try it' events where some Compass and contour methods are integrated into those sessions.

Our 50th Anniversary year celebrations started 'in style' today - 70's style to be exact with several club members digging out their older O kit from the 70's and 80's for the club champs ! Results from the retro loops are also now available below.
Are you in need of some new club kit for the new year ? Rowan Purkis has recently taken delivery of some new club tops and also some new LOC buffs and Sue will be taking additional orders for the 50th Anniversary tops until the club champs.
LOC member Charlie Somers Cocks recently travelled to Germany to take part in the Masters World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships and did rather well as she explains.

Last weekend saw several hundred orienteers gather in Yorkshire for the British Champs weekend, including the British Mixed Sprint Relays, the individual Long Champs and the British Relays. As usual, LOC were well represented and had some successes across all three days.
About 40 LOC members enjoyed taking part in the JK Relays on a lovely sunny Easter Monday at Minley in Surrey.
