LOC Annual Awards 2021
The Club Championships social was cancelled earlier this year and so presentation of three of our annual awards was put back until another opportunity presented itself. That moment came on Sunday after the CSC Final. Hurrah!
Ian Blakey Shield: PeterScott
LOC Navigator Trophy: Derek Allison
Fast Cat Trophy: Jo Cleary
The Ian Blakey Shield for Most Improved Junior was awarded to Peter Scott whose performances through 2021 saw him gain many excellent results, that he has continued to build on this year.
The LOC Navigator Trophy for Services to the Club was awarded to Derek Allison for his contribution and support to so many Club activities and events over the years. We are extremely fortunate to have Derek in LOC and he is a most deserving recipient.
The Fast Cat Trophy was awarded to Jo Cleary who was the most senior member of the club to gain Championship Badge Standard at three of the major Championship events. Only six of those events took place in 2021 and Jo was the only member to achieve that standard three times that hadn’t won it previously. She was one of just 22 members who achieved it once or more in 2021.
