FormlineNew orienteering shop launched
Formline is a new orienteering retailer recently launched by Duncan Birtwistle (organiser of the UK Elite Orienteering League) and Will Gardner (co-host of The Run-In podcast), both of Octavian Droobers. Orders can be made online at formline.uk.
“We started Formline as we saw a gap in the UK market for supplying quality orienteering products, but also the desire to build a brand that can help bring the sport into the modern era. By capturing the lifestyle of orienteering and sharing stories on social media, we hope to provide more engagement for people within the sport and grow the number of new participants.
“Launching with NVii shoes, Str8 compasses - as well as our own range of casual wear - we will continue to add select brands which closely match our customers’ needs and the sport’s demands. If you have any questions or suggestions please let us know at info@formline.uk.
“With a focus on the environmental impact of our sport, all orders are delivered in recyclable or biodegradable packaging and as events re-start we plan to offer a 'click-and-collect' service at select races in order to maintain low-carbon delivery.
“Please follow us on social media @formlineuk, spread the word and make your next purchase with us. We look forward to serving you and building a new future for orienteering together.”
Club Welfare Officer and Safeguarding
LOC's Welfare Officer is now Selwyn Wright, and he is very keen to hear from you if you have any concerns regarding bullying, harassment, discriminatory remarks and the like in LOC. Thanks to Judy Filmore, retiring from the post, for her work including the production of the new Safeguarding documents.
We want to be a club where everyone feels welcome, involved at the right level for them and feels safe at all times.
The LOC Safeguarding Policy information and the Incident Reporting Form (PDF and WORD/ODT formats) are attached.
