What does this mean?

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

It was such a lovely evening in Windermere tonight for the second of Iain's Spring Sprint series and good fun watching everyone cross Queens Park a couple of times whilst on their courses ! We hope you enjoyed the challenge.

Again, many thanks to Iain for planning and organising these two additional events, the control collectors Hollie and Loz and the SI Team of Ali & Mike.

Remember this is an urban sprint, you will run up to 50% further than course lengths !

Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult (as per British Orienteering guidelines)

Start/Finish will be within 2 minutes of registration.

How to choose a course

Entry Details

Online entries are available via SiEntries here. Online entry will close at 23:59 on Sunday 30th March, some entry on the day will also be available.

Fees for online entry:

  • £5 for seniors who are members of either British Orienteering (BO) or LOC
  • £6 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
  • £2 for juniors and full-time students
  • Free for LOC Juniors

Fees for entry on the day:

  • £6 for seniors who are members of either BO or LOC
  • £7 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
  • £2 for juniors and full-time students
  • Free for LOC Juniors

If entering on the day, cash only and the correct change would be very much appreciated please!

Registration and Start times

Registration and Download will just outside Queens Park on Park Road. Start and Finish will be at the entrance to Queens Park.

Starts 17.00 to 18.00

Courses close 19.00 promptly !
