Summer Sprint 1

Local level event

What does this mean?

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Report

Despite the rain (and apparently a football match on the telly?!), lots of you joined us tonight for the first in Iain's sprint events, designed to coincide with WOC24 in Edinburgh - we hope you all enjoyed the courses around Ulverston and Ford Park.

Results and all the usual analysis links are here - if you've not looked at Routegadget before, as people upload their routes on their course, it's interesting to see other people's route choices - how does it compare to yours ?

Many thanks to Iain for planning and organising the event tonight and the SI Team of Ali, Sandy & Michael.
