Report
It was a bit chilly this morning, for the final Turkey Race and final event of 2025 at Stony Hazel, we hope you all enjoyed your courses and the loops and parcel unwrapping Iain planned and weren't dizzy by the end of it all !
Many thanks to all the LOC helpers again today, especially Iain for planning the loops and devising the parcel unwrapping, Gill for organising, Richard T for safety controlling, Helen and Kath for manning the parcel unwrapping, John, Gill and Rick for car parking, Richard and Iain for control collecting and the SI Team of Ali, Mike and Janet.
Also many thanks to the Reading Room for allowing use to use the facilities. We'd just like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year !

Course Information
The following courses will be available (distances TBC):
This years 'twist' will be 'LOOPS'!!
Long - 4.9k 1:5000 double sided. has 31 controls
Short - 3.3k 1:5000 double sided.
Orange - 1.8k 1:4000 double sided.
Yellow - 1.3k 1:4000 double sided
Start is at Reading Rooms -
Finish is 2 minutes away.
All courses will be multi-part (on one sheet of A4 paper).
Woods are very wet - and will probably remain wet. There is significant amounts of mud and some briars/undergrowth, but generally it’s very pleasant.
Yellow and Orange are ‘adventurous’. Both follow good line features along streams and walls (Yellow has 2x taped routes) which are wet!!
All courses use loops - at the common control there will be a ‘Pass-the-Parcel’. EVERYONE must open one layer before they finish. You can decide which loop you want to stop and unwrap your layer. Failure to open one (or if you open more than one) will result in a penalty…
Fancy dress optional.
