What does this mean?
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Urban Sprint event
Kendal is a warren of small narrow ginnels and alleyways which can be steep & slippery in places (when wet).
Please be mindful of road crossings & other pedestrians.
Course Information
Long - 3.1km approx
Short - 2.1km approx
Remember this is an urban sprint, you will run up to 50% further than course lengths !
Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult (as per British Orienteering guidelines)
Start/Finish will be within 2 minutes of registration.
Entry Details
Online entries are available via SiEntries here. Online entry will close at 23:59 on Sunday 23rd March, some entry on the day will also be available.
Fees for online entry:
- £5 for seniors who are members of either British Orienteering (BO) or LOC
- £6 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
- £2 for juniors and full-time students
- Free for LOC Juniors
Fees for entry on the day:
- £6 for seniors who are members of either BO or LOC
- £7 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
- £2 for juniors and full-time students
- Free for LOC Juniors
