Report
Thanks to all the runners who took part tonight in the LOC North West Night League event, and we hope that you enjoyed it.
The area was physically and technically challenging and the planning by Matt Rooke was excellent. Iain Smith-Ward organised the event.
The results and splits are here, please contact us at 'loc_si@btinternet.com' if you have any comments or queries on the results. Dick and Dave supplied the results support.
Our next night event will be on the 26th January at Stony Hazel, the details are on the LOC website event list.
Overview
This is a plateau-like area with steep slopes to the south and east, some forested, some rough open. It all contains intricate contour detail with many crags, especially on the steeper slopes.
The northern part of the area must only be accessed using the marked crossing points. One is a gate. The others are gaps in the wall marked with red/white tape. There is a ruined barbed wire fence running along the wall and it will be covered over with carpet at these locations. The wall is over-printed in purple and must not be crossed even if you find an apparently suitable gap - it is dangerous and will threaten future use of that part of the area. Only Blue and Green visit this section of the woodland.

Hire SI Cards will be available (SICard5) but there will be the usual £30 fee for a lost SI Card.
Pre-entry registration has closed on the SiEntries website and the start list is here with 15 minute start blocks from 17.30 - 19.00 where an available entry time slot has been booked and payment made online.
Runners should please check all the details in the Start List and either let me (loc_si@btinternet.com) know before the event or at Download at the event before they run if there are any errors.
In order to manage the flow of runners through the start all runners should use the selected start window if possible.
Any entry queries which cannot be sorted out on the Si Entries website should be addressed to loc_si@btinternet.com before the event, or at Download on the event day before you go to the start.
Unless they have any queries about their entry competitors should go directly to the Start for their booked start time, they should come to the event changed ready to run and to leave after downloading before changing.
Some competitors may be asked to stay until 20.00 when courses close in case someone fails to return on time.
