Entry Details

Entries are open online via SI Entries here, online entry will close at 23:59 on Sunday 19th November, some entry on the day will also be available.

Entry Fees:

£6 M/W21+

£4 M/W20- and full time students

Entry is free for LOC Juniors

If entering on the day, the correct change would be very much appreciated please !

We encourage running in pairs – this is a must for under 16s (with an adult) but adults can also do so. It is good way to start orienteering, particularly at night. To do this, enter the event using one person’s name (the junior in a junior + adult pair, or one adult of an adult pair) and please add the names of everyone accompanying in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box when you enter. You will just use one SI Card (dibber) between you but you can buy extra maps using the “extras” on SI Entries for £1

Facilities

We have permission to use the car park of the Newton Inn, and there is further on street parking available in the neighbourhood. On the night registration and download will be in a side bar at the inn, accessed directly from the car park by walking from it past the front of the inn. The way in will be signed.

Food and drinks will be available at the Inn, but the food has to be pre-ordered. A copy of the menu is attached. Please send your pre-orders to Alan Heppenstall (alan.heppenstall at btinternet.com), NOT directly to the Inn, since the new owner has asked for them to come in batches. To ensure smooth operation of the process please let me have your orders by Friday evening, the 17th November. It may be possible to add one or two extra the following Monday, if you enter the event at the last minute and decide you want food at the same time, but the inn would like the bulk of orders by the Friday / Saturday morning. By the way, I'm not collecting money - pay the inn when they deliver the food.

If it's all too complicated, no problem, just come to the event anyway - all welcome, and drinks are available at the bar.

Thanks, Alan
