Local level event
What does this mean?
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Many thanks to all who joined us in Bowness tonight for the first Urban event in this winter's night series of events, we hoped you enjoyed the courses planned by Pete and weren't put off by the 'happy' pub goers in town !
As always, many thanks to all LOC volunteers involved in putting on the event tonight - the roll of honour goes to Pete for planning, Rach as Safety Officer and Series Co-ordinator, Rach and Jean for first aid cover, Sandy, Liz, Anne, Scott and Steve for control collecting and the SI Team of Ali & Jerry.

Course Information
Long 5.0 km 150 m climb 19 controls
Short 3.5 km 120 m climb 12 controls
Yellow 2.5 km 60 m climb 11 controls
All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Mostly urban streets and parks, with some paths through unlit woodland. Note 5m contour interval when choosing routes.
You must carry a torch, whistle and wear something reflective. Full leg cover is not compulsory.

Online entries are open at SiEntries. Online entry will close at 23:59 on Wednesday 13th November, some entry on the day will also be available.
Fees for online entry:
- £6 for seniors who are members of either British Orienteering (BO) or LOC
- £7 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
- £4 for juniors and full-time students
- Free for LOC Juniors

- £8 for seniors who are not members of either BO or LOC
