Last updated: Thu 28 April, 2022

Overview

Mostly open, with a fast path network, and a small area of woodland, visited only by the long course.

Areas of bracken are quite fast, as the bracken is dead and pretty flat. Areas of limestone pavement are likely to be slippery. Avoid areas of gorse, mapped as either solid green or vertical green hatching. The Short course does not cross any roads and should be OK for inexperienced night orienteers. The Long course visits Sea Wood, so crosses the adjacent road twice. The paths in Sea Wood are OK, but there are windblown trees off the paths. Do not cross any walls or fences; there may be a dangerous cliff on the other side.
