Well done to everyone who joined us this afternoon in the sunshine for the final event in the night series, although it was run in the daytime ! Welcome to all the newcomers particularly on the yellow course today and especially those who then also tried the more challenging short course afterwards! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and the great courses planned.
As always, a number of folks were involved in putting on todays event, so thank you to all the following: Pete for planning, Derek F for safety controlling, Jane as Series Co-ordinator, Rach for first aid, Lindsay for collecting parking money, the control collectors Scott, Cath, Carol, Angie & Nigel and Kev and Sian and the SI Team of Ali, Mike and Scott.

Map / Terrain
Scale 1:7500 and 5 m contours.
Map last updated in 2025.
The map will be A4 and printed on waterproof paper.
The area is on a steep wooded slope - mostly runable featuring some crags, rocky areas and charcoal burning platforms. As a result the course lengths are on the short side. The yellow course will follow paths, fences and walls. It also includes a short marked route.
An old fence which goes diagonally through the Wood. It is easy to cross, but has one hazardous single strand of wire about 1 metre high – this will be taped on obvious route lines but take care.
