Club Champs and Award Presentations
After the Club Championship event at Tarn Hows this morning, at the social event, the annual LOC awards presentation took place for the Explorer awards, Club Champions, Galoppen individual winners and the following LOC awards.
Firstly, congratulations to all the LOC Juniors who have been participating in the Explorer Awards throughout the year and to those awarded certificates and prizes today !
This was followed by the presentation of the Borrowdale Trophy, which LOC have retained for a second year - this trophy is awarded to the Cumbrian Club that scores the most points across all the Cumbrian Galoppen events throughout the year. The following were also awarded prizes as individual course winners over the series of events, full results are here.

Derek then announced the winner of this year's Fast Cat Trophy - this is awarded to the oldest member of the club, who has scored at least 3 championship times at the bigger events over the year (JK, British Champs), who also hasn't won it previously, This year it was awarded to Michael Napier.
The next award was the Ian Blakey Trophy for the most improved orienteer, which was awarded to Amelia Thompson.
Iain continued with the presentation of the Navigator Trophy, awarded for services to orienteering and the club, this year for the first time, it was a joint presentation, being awarded to Ali & Mike Hooper for their continued support on all things SI related - registration, download and results.
Finally, Iain then announced the Club Champions for 2025, based on this morning's event, with those finishing closest to 12.00 being declared the winners.
