World Masters MTBO ChampionshipsSept Moray Coast Scotland
The World Masters Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships 2026 is taking place 8th - 12th Sept on the Moray Coast, based around Forres. Some fantastic areas familiar to some from a recent Scottish 6days. Link to the web site . Age group classes from M/W35 to M/W85 plus some open courses for any age. We are also welcoming anyone who would like to just volunteer or compete on some of the days and help for some. Please see the website for a link to Linda who is coordinating Volunteers.

LOC at the Montane Spine Winter Race
Congratulations to LOC member Ian Haslett who, earlier today (Fri 16th), completed the full Montane Spine Winter Race, just a mere 268 miles along the full length of the Pennine Way from Edale in the Peak District to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders ! Ian left Edale at 8am on Sunday morning and took a total time of 125 hours 26 minutes and 37 seconds in what has looked like a seriously brutal edition of the race, earning himself a top 20 finish and taking a massive chunk off his previous time.

Well done to all the LOC members who braved the Tim Watkins trophy on Sunday in very blustery conditions. Amongst the trophy winners were Anne Edwards (womens open)and Jamie Osborne (Junior men - escaped before prize giving). Also amongst the prizes were Pippa Archer and Rebekah Beadle on the Womens Open Short
