What does this mean?

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Urban maprun

A fast urban around Croftlands. comprising of the areas south of the river.

Almost all of the running surface is tarmac/hard surface with a little use of Croftland park.

Note that there are two artificial OOB barriers placed on Rake Lane to prevent runners using the non-pavemented sections of the road.

45 Minutes Score – 900 Points

Scale 1:4 000 and 5 m contours.

Map last updated in year 2023.

If attending on Wednesday night the map will be A3 and printed on waterproof paper.

Otherwise print off pdf maps as two sides of A4

The start is the Tree in the South-West corner of Croftlands Park

Finish is the within Croftlands Park.


How to choose a course

Entry Details



Head Torch mandatory if running between dusk and dawn

Bright colored clothing recommended

Juniors under 16 must run with an adult

Sensible clothing (i.e., Cagoule, hat, gloves etc.) is to the be worn; this may be mandated in the case of poor weather
