Local level event

What does this mean?

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Many thanks everyone for joining us for the final event in this year's Night Terrain Series - it ended up being a beautiful evening, which did mean if you wanted to run in the dark you had to wait a little longer before you could start !

Thanks also to Iain for planning, Neil for safety, Jane as Series Co-ordinator and the SI Team of Ali, Mary and Mike.

Map / Terrain

High quality deciduous woodland, with good contour detail. Courses planned to avoid extensive Storm Arwen damage, and it's a bit marshy in places...

UNDER 16s MUST BE ACCOMPANIED OR SHADOWED BY AN ADULT.

A whistle and spare torch are mandatory and waterproof depending on conditions on night.

Entry Details

Entries are open online via SI Entries here, online entry will close at 23:59 on Sunday 18th February, some entry on the day will also be available.

Entry Fees:

£6 M/W21+

£7 M/W21 + entry on the day

£4 M/W20- and full time students

Entry is free for LOC Juniors

If entering on the day, the correct change would be very much appreciated please !

Registration and Start times

Registration opens 17:00

Start and finish within 100m of road.

As it's the last night event, it will be dark later (assuming it's a nice day!). I'm aiming for courses to be available from 16:30ish, so if anyone wants to go in the light, they can. Runners for places in the night series start after (about) 18:00hrs.

Pre-entries close 23:59 on Sunday 18th.
