Directions / Parking

Parking problems

We are now expecting over 800 entries for this event which is much larger than we originally anticipated and are likely to cause some significant parking difficulties.

We have already requested that no competitors drive to these events on their own and have included suggested locations where people can arrange to meet up and leave a vehicle. If you are thinking of arriving at these events on your own, please consider that, if you do, later arrivals may not be able to park and so may miss their start times.

The main parking area is at the caravan Park as described in the Preliminary Details at Bigland Hall Caravan Park, which is adjacent to the competition area. Campervans will be welcome.

The overflow parking is at the Clock Tower Business Park which is off the B5278 about 1km north of the Caravan Park, at Low Wood, just after the bridge over the River Leven. The Grid Ref is SD346835 and the Post Code LA12 8LY. We will tape a route from this location to the Caravan Park.

Entry Details

There will be no entries on the day for Championship Courses.

There will be some EOD entry for White, Yellow, Orange and Light Green courses.

Dogs allowed?

No Dogs will be allowed at the assembly area for the Northern Championships

Unfortunately the owners of Bigland Hall Caravan Park, which is the main parking area for the Northern Championships, have withdrawn their permission for competitors to bring dogs on to their property. If you need to bring a dog with you, please park in either the overflow parking at the Clock Tower Business Park or on the old A590 in Haverthwaite and arrange to share transport from there with another competitor. If you wish to cancel your entry in the light of this new information, please email the Entries Secretary before entries close on 19th February.
