John Wootton :

"This was the first event I’d planned/organised for LOC and the first I’d planned for, possibly, 20 years. I’d forgotten how much work is involved!

Luckily, the evening was dry (but windy) and the rain held off until just after we had collected in the last of the controls. I was keen to use the complex terrain to the south of the wall, but to minimise the climb on the Short course. The Long went into some steep and overgrown terrain on the western flank; all I can say is that this area seemed a lot less challenging when I visited it in February! My apologies to those who were caught out by the misleading advice regarding leg cover"
