What does this mean?
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Thank you all for joining us on a dry but chilly night for the latest event in the Night Terrain Series tonight at Great Oaks. Hopefully you enjoyed your courses in a lovely compact area and didn't end up going for a swim at all !

Full leg cover is compulsory.
The area is exposed woodland, with some small crags, rocky areas and a few fallen trees. If the weather is bad you may be required to carry a hooded waterproof jacket, and potentially hat, gloves and waterproof trousers. You should bring these to the event and notices will be displayed in the car park and at the start.
You must carry a whistle, and a spare torch.

Long 3.5 km 150 m climb 23 controls
Short 2.5 km 115 m climb 17 controls
Scale 1:4,000 and 2.5 m contours.

Pre-entries via SIEntries here, online entry closes at 23:59 on Sunday 8th January, some entry on the day also available.
£6 M/W21+
£4 M/W20- and full-time students
Entry on the day for Long and Short. £6 for seniors and £4 for juniors and students. Correct change please.
Collect hired dibbers from registration.
Pairs can run together, with the option for them to pre-order a 2nd map if required for a £1.
If you want to pre-enter and pay by voucher, you can get the voucher entry code from the Series Coordinator.
