Bishop Woods Training

Carol McNeill has organised a training day for the Sunday morning at Bishop Woods using the controls from the Elite night middle race for LOC members only.

Heather Heppenstall has kindly offered to be the coach for the morning with the emphasis  on informality where members will be encouraged to plan & run  their own courses using the Elite’s controls.

COVID 19

DO NOT COME if you are not fit to attend. Entry refund will be given if you have to withdraw after entering

Fitness to Attend - Competitors must not attend the event if any of the following apply:

  • They or someone in their household have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 in the past 14 days
  • They or someone in their household has been tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days
  • The test and trace service has asked them to self-isolate at the present time
  • A medical professional has advised or asked them to self-isolate in the past 14 days

We have taken measures to enable everyone to follow BOF and Boris Covid rules and guidelines. We will not policing every situation and it is up to everyone to take individual responsibility. There should be no more than 6 people together. Social distancing must be observed everywhere. Hand santiser will be provided where people are likely to touch the same object.

Parking: on estate track, signed northwards from the minor road at Low Cunsey Farm SD 379933  Limited space  Overflow-park carefully on wider sections of the public lane to the south

Entry Details

The session will be for LOC members only & will run in two sessions from 10.00-11.00 & 11.00-12.00 with 15 people per session, first come, places are on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay.

You must pre-enter to attend this training session, please do not simply turn up on the day.

Please provide your name, preferred time slot and mobile phone number (only for tracking purposes as this is necessary).

Payment will be made at the event, either by vouchers or in cash.

The fees are:

  • Senior   £4
  • Junior    £2

If you want to pay in cash, please be sure to the exact money, as change will not be available. Because of Covid 19, you’ll be asked to post your payment into a sealed bucket. After the event, the contents of the bucket will be disinfected.

Important Information

Safety and Risk: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser.

Runners MUST download even if they retire so we can be sure everyone is back and that we do not need to start a search and rescue.

Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
