Google Groups Sign up and discuss Orienteering with other members via e-mail.   
Once you are signed up you can send an email  to lakeland-orienteering@googlegroups.com, and it will be automatically  sent to all members of the group.
For your protection, all sign ups have to be approved by the discussion group managers, so they may be  a delay until approval is given.

  1. Will I Get Spam ?
 Sign ups to the group have to be authorised by the group manager (a member of LOC), so outsiders will not be able to sign up and use the group to send spam.  
(spam - is  nickname for unsolicited e-mail) 
  1. Will my e-mail address be disclosed to other club members ? 
 If you 'post' to the discussion group your e mail address will  be sent to other members of the group, via e-mail. But is not published on the web site.
  1. I have signed up and not yet been authorised.
 You are waiting for the next time the group manager signs in, please be patient.  Unfortunately  the system does mail the manager to tell him he/she needs to log in.
  1. Who can read the messages ?
 We have set up the group so only member of the group can see the archive on the Google web site.
  1. Do I have to be a LOC member to join ? 
 Yes.
