The warts:
Ran out of loo roll
Use of lazer printed 1:7,500 maps in the start lanes
Giving the junior elite trophy to the M20 winner instead of the fastest junior who was younger, many apologies to Tom, thanks also to Peter for handing it over
Bringing the prize giving forward, some people missed it as a consequence
My run, I was too tired to think although did OK with no howlers.
I know a number of you missed the event due to flight cancellations, if you want a map then let me know and I will post one on to you. bmdoc2010@gmail.com
If you won a medal and failed to collect it I will get round to sending them after the evening event I am planning and organising next week
Lost property again email me at bmdoc2010@gmail.com
Drinks bottle
Walsh shoes and socks (not yet washed)
Compass
I have a few unclaimed maps from the map bags although I assume that the person who left their number, splits (appalling times followed by retirement) and the map carefully torn into small pieces does not want it back. It made me chuckle.
Finally and most importantly; I have to thank Claire, James and Stewart. They put up with a lot. Claire has had it particularly tough for the last 8 weeks and I hope that she will notice that she now gets a husband back.
Derek Allison. Lakeland Orienteering Club.
[LOC members who did not collect their maps and would llike to retreive them should contact Norma Atherton]
