Lakeland won the CSC Regional Round on Sunday 19th February 2012 on Askham Fell, Pooley Bridge.

This was always going to be tough with many families using Half Term for holidays for skiing not to mention the cold sores keeping people home.
With West Cumberland bringing a big team as well as Manchester District, our top ten runners were just ahead of WCOC top ten by one point whilst MDOC were one ahead of us. The top twenty runners made us two points ahead of the pair and overall the LOC 25 runners stayed just 12 points ahead of WCOC with MDOC lower still.
With 83 pre-entries from LOC, this was a stunning number despite the holidays. It’s been a long time we have had a full Open Men’s team of nine, with Mark Saunders taking second followed by Carl Edmonds fourth. The Blue Men’s team of thirteen entrants, over 45s as well as under 21s, powered into 4, 5, 6 & 7th places to push the mob of WCOC just below us. As usual Carol took the first place in the Short Green Vets, but this was our only one this time.
