We are one of the largest clubs in the North-West of England, currently with over
300 club members.
The area of the club is from
Barrow-in-Furness in the West, to Kirkby Stephen in the East, and from Shap in the North to Carnforth in the South.
We also have some
members from slightly further afield! You don't need to live here to be a member - just enjoy orienteering in one of the best areas in
England...
The biggest benefit of being a member is that you will receive
your very own copy of 'Locate' - our bi-monthly newsletter which contains articles, results, club fixtures, and any other news worth reporting.
The club holds regular events - details of which can be obtained either via
the Events page of this web-site or through printed fixture lists. Please contact
the Membership Secretary who usually holds any spare copies. The lists are normally for a two/three month period.
We also have monthly meetings - open to ALL club members. The idea of having open meetings is so that anyone in the club can air their
views, rather than having to rely on a committee please contact the club Chairman
for details.
